These are beautiful and cheap at the same time.
Build bench for dining table.
First i cut the pieces of walnut to size on my bandsaw.
Drill pocket holes at both ends of the legs and secure them to the top support with 2 1 2 screws.
This way the bench.
Cut wood to length.
Because of their thickness some saws won t be able to cut them.
Cut the footboard in half to use the halves as armrests.
Once you have all your wood cut you will need to sand each piece to remove the rough edges.
Once i finished the diy dining table bench seat top i started building the bench seat bottom.
Sand pieces of wood.
Optionally add hinges to the top instead of using screws to attach it for it to serve as the lid.
A neat and decent design for building a bench like dining table especially if you are planning to shift it to the backyard for picnic lunches and saturday night barbeques.
Use 2 4 wood and 3 4 thick plywood to create the bench frame.
For the benches use the same procedure to prep the materials as you did with the table.
First you need to cut all your wood.
Add waterproof glue to the joints in order to enhance the rigidity of the frame.

As you can easily notice in the diagram you need to make 10 degree cuts to both ends of the legs.
Prepare the material and cut the legs a and the braces b to size cutting list cutting diagram.

I knew i wanted these benches to be big and beefy so i was immediately drawn to using 4 4 s for these as well.
Now that everything is cut and sanded you are ready to build a bench.
Cut the part 1 inch longer than called for trim to width and then cut to final length.
The bottom closely resembles the dining table bottom a simple farmhouse style bottom with half lap wood joinery.
