We do not recommend using polished concrete with a high sheen outdoors but low sheen and matte are fine for exterior use.

One of the advantages of grind and seal is that you can carry the polished concrete look from internal to external areas.

A grind and seal however can be used for indoors or outdoors and is a cheaper alternative to the authentic polished concrete and very popular in cafes and restaurants as well as outdoor areas garages driveways and homes.
To polish concrete start by grinding the surface with a concrete grinder which you can rent at a hardware store.

Apply non stick concrete sealant and allow it to dry.
Switch to a 2500 grit pad and polish to a fine finish.
Regular vacuuming and an occasional damp mop will keep it looking beautiful for many years.

A polished concrete floor requires very little maintenance.
Once you ve finished grinding vacuum up the debris and go over the entire surface with a buffer to smooth it out.
